Mission Statement

The mission of Escambia County School District Title I Pre-K is to provide a positive, high quality environment to increase school readiness and build a foundation for future success. All Pre-K educators will use developmentally appropriate practices in order to create experiences for students that are language-rich, engaging, intentional, and motivating while integrating 21st century technology. 

 

Program Information

The District's program collaborates with the State's Voluntary Prekindergarten Program, Title I, Exceptional Student Education, Migrant, and Head Start to serve over 500 children in 34 classrooms at 14 sites. Children may participate in the 540-hour Pre-K program during the school year or the 300-hour Summer VPK program.

Open Enrollment for Escambia County School District Pre-K for the 2017-2018 school year begins February 27, 2017.

 

 

Step 1: VPK Registration (Parents must obtain a VPK *Certificate of Eligibility.) 

  • Apply for a Certificate of Eligibility online at

http://familyservices.floridaearlylearning.com 

 

The following documents must be uploaded to obtain the Certificate of Eligibility:

  • Child's Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Residence (Utility Bill or Lease Agreement)

*You can apply for a Certificate beginning January 1, 2017

 

Step 2: *VPK Enrollment for an Escambia County School District Pre-K Site

*You can apply to the School District beginning February 27, 2017

Step 3: Come to the Spencer Bibbs Center to complete enrollment. Do not go to the school site. Enrollment can only be completed at the Spencer Bibbs Center. The Spencer Bibbs Center is located at 2005 N. 6th Ave.

Bring the Certificate of Eligibility and the documents below to the Spencer Bibbs Center.

  • Child's Birth Certificate
  • Proof of Residence
  • Immunization Record
  • Physical
  • Proof of income (W2 for all adults in household)
  • Child's Insurance Card
  • Verified Child's Social Security Number 

 

* If you are applying to Bratt Elementary, Jim Allen Elementary, or Molino Park Elementary contact the school and do not come to the Spencer Bibbs Center.
