Ensley's Summer Innovation Center
Dates: June 7th – July 14th
Days: Tuesday & Thursdays
Hours: 9:00 - 11:00 a.m.
K -2nd: may attend with a parent for a team experience
3rd - 5th: may attend independently with a learning goal
Challenges include: crafting in MinecraftEDU, creating Paper Roller Coasters, designing Dream Catchers, achieving goals in Accelerated Reader, tinkering with circuitry, and building structures.
Global Learning Academy’s Math Camp
Time: 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Global Learning Math Camp will be conducted by Mrs. Sexton and Mr. de Varona for 3rd grade students getting ready for 4th grade, however 4th and 5th grade students are welcome as well..
Global Learning Academy’s Innovation Center/Library – Open for Check-out
Time: 10:00 a.m. t0 12:00 p.m.
The media center will open for all Global students and their families to check reading material.
Lipscomb Elementary School’s Innovation Center Family Nights
Dates: June 13, 20, 27 and July 11, 18, 25
Time: 5:00 to 7:00 p.m.
Lipscomb’s goal is for children and parents to check out books for summer reading and explore Makerspace stations. They may experiment with our Osmo Tanagram system, Snap electric circuitry, marble runs, or building structures.
C.A. Weis Elementary CommUNITY School
Dates: June 6 through July 28 (except July 18 – 21)
Days: Tuesdays – Makerspace
Time: 8:20 to 10:30 a.m.
Parents must come in each Monday to sign up their student for that week. There is a limit to how many students can participate. The classes are timed to fit in between breakfast and lunch. (There is not a limit for participating in the meals and they are open to those 18 and younger.)
C.A. Weis Special Maker Event
Day: Saturday, June 18
Time 10:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m.
Students can come with a parent or guardian to make a shelf, so students will have a shelf at home for displaying Makerspace projects.
Pensacola High School's Innovation Center
Dates: June 13-23 and July 11 - 21
Days: Monday - Thursday
Hours: 8:00 a.m. - 2:00 p.m.
For any PHS students wishing to check out books, or participate in Makerspace activities (Minecraft, coding, Ollile robots...)
