Exceptional Student Education Mission

It is the mission of the
Exceptional Student Education Department
to support and sustain the educational structures
and practices, to be inclusive of all students
with or without disabilities, and to empower
them to become responsible and productive citizens
in today's global society. Each student will be
welcomed, valued, given access to rigorous teaching
and appropriately supported to access the
general education curriculum.

  • Gather your case load assignment data in FOCUS using the “Raymond Report” for IEP and Re-eval due dates in August!
  • Remember to mark the box listed as other and indicate one or both statements on the parent notifications if “Consideration of placement in ESE Center” will be discussed or “Consideration of instruction in access points and participation in Florida State Alternate Assessment” at an IEP review meeting
  • Inform and provide General Education Teachers student accommodation information
