Escambia County School District Pre-K Program

The School District of Escambia County offers a free full-day Pre-K program for any student living in a Title One attendance area. Visit School Finder to find out your attendance zone.

REGISTRATION AND ENROLLMENT STEPS FOR THE 2021-2022 SCHOOL YEAR
Call the Spencer Bibbs Center at #850-595-6915 ext 224 to inquire about enrolling your child.

Step 1:  Obtain a VPK Certificate of Eligibility (COE) or go to the Early Learning Coalition, 3300 N. Pace Blvd., Suite 210. Monday-Thursday 9:00-3:00, (850) 607-8556.  The child’s birth certificate and the parent’s proof of residence must be uploaded when applying for the Certificate of Eligibility.

Step 2:  Complete an Escambia County School District online application in FOCUS.

Step 3: Beginning on April 5, 2021, bring the following documents to Spencer Bibbs Center at 2005 N. 6th Avenue to complete registration.
Monday-Thursday, 8:00-3:00. Schools will be filled on a first come, first serve basis.  Registration is not complete until all documents have been approved and forms have been signed.
-Bratt and Molino Park will bring the documents directly to the school.

  • Physical (or appointment card for upcoming physical)
  • Child’s Insurance Card*
  • Child’s Social Security number*
  • Proof of Income (2020 W2 for all adults in home)*

Ensley, Global*, Montclair*, OJ Semmes*, Weis*, West Pensacola*,  
Bratt, Bellview, Jim Allen, Holm, Longleaf, Molino Park, Navy Point, Sherwood
(*Head Start services offered at sites require proof of income & additional application.)
Students may register for any site, however transportation is limited to students attending Pre-K in their zoned elementary school if available.

Mission Statement

The mission of Escambia County School District Title I Pre-K is to provide a positive, high quality environment to increase school readiness and build a foundation for future success. All Pre-K educators will use developmentally appropriate practices in order to create experiences for students that are language-rich, engaging, intentional, and motivating while integrating 21st century technology. 

 

Program Information

The District's program collaborates with the State's Voluntary Prekindergarten Program, Title I, Exceptional Student Education, and Head Start. Children may participate in the 540-hour VPK program during the school year or the 300-hour Summer VPK program.
