FLUENCY FOR FAMILIES
Fluency involves reading at good pace and with expression. Reading with expression shows that we are making sense out of what we are reading and we are phrasing it in such a way that others can listen and understand too. Fluency begins with reading out loud, but eventually transfers to silent reading. One study (Rasinski, et, al, 2016) showed that students with better fluency rates scored higher on the ACT, one test used for college entrance.
