ECSD Fine Arts Teacher Resources: Transportation, Certification, and S.O.P.s:

Bus Requisition Procedures:
When taking a group on a field trip through Fine Arts funding, please have your school complete the online form of your bus requisition. Do not use a paper bus requisiton. All bus requisitions for Fine Arts should be coded to Fine Arts. Please meet the given deadlines so that your bus is secured in a timely manner.
Fine Arts provides two buses each for the Elementary Pensacola Symphony concert for 5th grade .
Fine Arts provides one bus to Elementary Pensacola Children's Chorus Christmas on the Coast for 3rd Graders.
Fine Arts provides one bus to each Visual Arts educator to the Pensacola Museum of Art Youth Art Focus.
Professional Development Educator Travel:
Once you have been preapproved to travel to a workshop through Fine Arts, you must turn in an original T2 form, a copy of your leave form, and a copy of your registration to the conference/workshop to Fine Arts at least 2 weeks prior to your travel date. Fine Arts requests that all receipts, agenda/workshop schedule, T3's, and workshops attended be turned in within 5 days of your return from travel.

Put leave in Frontlline and secure your substitute.

Student Academic/Teacher Travel:
Students representing ECSD in state academic competitions for an enrolled course may receive funds up to $125 to help pay for transportation to events such as All-State Band, All-State Chorus, All-State Orchestra, and Florida Thespian Festival.

Teachers who accompany those students may also receive funds up to $300 to cover cost of transportation, lodging, and meals.

Certification Requirements:

NEW OR ALTERNATIVELY CERTIFIED TEACHERS, DO NOT WAIT TO TAKE ANY OF THE CERTIFICATION EXAMS. TAKE THEM 1ST SEMESTER. SEE CERTIFICATION FOR MORE INFORMATION.
- All Fine Arts educators must have an approved ESOL course of 18 hours or more to renew their certificate. The next district ESOL training workshop will be TBA during the teacher plan day.
- All Fine Arts educators must have 20 hours of approved ESE training to renew their certificate. FMEA offers a 20 hour course. The Kennedy Center webinairs for students with exceptionalities will also accumulate at 1 point each and meet the ESE requirements

**Please follow the correct procedures to transfer any instruments, dispose of nonfunctioning instruments that are beyond repair, or remove an instrument from your inventory. Please note school board approval may be required. Contact the Fine Arts Specialist for the correct protocol for all district-owned instruments. **
Crowdfunds, Auctions, and More:

- Any student product such as a student-created work of art that is to be placed in an auction requires written consent to sell by the parent/guardian.

ECPS Approved Fine Arts ESE 20 hour course
Teaching Students with Disabilities in the Fine Arts
This course provides educators of music, visual arts, dance and theatre information about the foundations of exceptional student education; the provision of services for students with disabilities; and instructional practices that can be used not only for students with disabilities but with all students.
Inservice Points: 20
Each school district is responsible to determine if the content of this 20-hour course satisfies the requirement for Renewal Credit in Teaching Students with Disabilities (DPS 2014-12).
