The proactive mission of the Escambia County Guidance Department is to provide comprehensive counseling services in K-12, reaching all aspects of education, to promote social-emotional development and academic achievement for all students as well as support for their families.

In events such as the tragedy at Sandy Hook Elementary School in Newtown, CT, this is an opportunity for our schools to take the time to review safety procedures and protocol. By being proactive in maintaining a safe learning environment, together we will continue to "create a school district where parents want to send their children, students want to learn, teachers want to teach and employees want to work."
