School-Family Compact 2022-2023

We Need Your Feedback!

The School Family Compact is an agreement and commitment between the family and the school to help ensure the success of  the student. The parties to this compact acknowledge that we share the responsibility for improved student achievement. Each of us has an important role in encouraging students to make the most of their potential and become independent thinkers, lifelong learners and productive, self-reliant citizens.

Being mindful of our responsibilities, we pledge the following:

School Agreement
We will provide opportunities for parents to volunteer and participate in their child's class. We will provide a high quality curriculum, effective and appropriate instruction, and a safe and supportive learning environment. We will respect and honor parents' rights to be involved in decisions about their child's education. We will encourage our students' effort and communicate with parents regularly. We will respect the student, their parents and the diverse culture of the school. As well, we will abide by the highest standards of our profession.

Family Agreement
We will support our child's learning by ensuring good attendance, monitoring homework, and participating in decisions about our child's education. We will encourage our child’s effort and will communicate regularly with the school staff. We will help to maintain a good learning environment by supporting the school staff and respecting cultural differences of others.

Student Agreement
I believe that I can learn and I will work hard to demonstrate what I learn. I will develop and maintain high standards of academic achievement and positive behavior by coming to school regularly and by being consistently prepared with all materials, assignments and homework for the learning challenges of each day. I will help to make our school a safe and orderly place for everyone to work, study and learn. I will work together with the school’s professionals (teachers, administrators, custodians...) to develop/maintain positive behaviors and learn to resolve conflicts in positive, nonviolent ways. I will do my very best to succeed academically, socially and emotionally and demonstrate respect for myself, others and the environment. I will be respectful, responsible and safe.
